Di Zang Lin was established with the aspiration to help Buddhist practitioners learn the teachings of the Lord Buddha; to cultivate what they have learnt with mindfulness, and to emulate the aspirations of the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva through charitable works. Di Zang Lin was established in 1997 with the clear vision of bringing devotees together to learn and practice the Buddha Dharma. Through the years, DZL has evolved and prides itself as a Mahayana (lineage) based Buddhist centre with a difference.

Di Zang Lin has its roots as a Buddhist religious organisation. Its lineage hails from Ch’an origins and the Late master dedicated this temple to the practice of the Ksitgarbha Bodhisattva. Di Zang Lin is a Buddhist temple observing the Mahayana Tradition. While adapting Buddhist practice to modern city living, we adhere strictly to Buddhist traditions to make practices as authentic as possible.

Primarily a Buddhist temple, one of Di Zang Lin’s mission is to share the wisdom of Buddha’s teaching to the devotees from all walks of life and provide a platform for them to practice the Dharma in their daily lives. Di Zang Lin prides itself in its sustainable involvement with three nursing homes in Singapore to provide solace to their residents who may otherwise be forgotten.

Part of Di Zang Lin’s mission is to make a difference in the lives of the needy and disadvantaged in our midst. MPFD serves warm meals to identified needy residents at the Marine Parade vicinity. Besides the warm meal, bread, cake and fruits are also given weekly. Ration consisting of dry sundries and groceries is also given to these family once every month.

In line with Di Zang Lin’s mission of contributing back to the community through charitable acts, bursary awards have been given out annually to needy students since 2011.
